Side Pressed
In a “side pressed” panel, the bamboo strips are pressed together vertically. It results in a 1-ply where the pattern and characteristics of the bamboo nodes are not visible.
Horizontal Pressed
The bamboo strips can be glued together either horizontal or vertical. In a “Horizontal Pressed” panel the bamboo knots are facing up. The pattern and characteristics of the bamboo nodes are visible.
Side pressed and Plain pressed bamboo boards, apart from their appearance, do not differ in performance and have the same high stability and hardness.
Strand Woven Bamboo
The bamboo strips are crushed into bamboo fibre, which are then impregnated with glue,then the bamboo fibre are put into a huge industrial press and pressed at 2,500 tonnes pressure.
